Set aside about 30 minutes. It is long on purpose. Every answer is read personally by Daniel & Jennifer, and it is the foundation of every introduction we make.

Before you begin

Applying is free and commits you to nothing. If we approve you, membership is $50/month, and only members are introduced. The first 50 founding members pay half, $25 a month for their first two months. We cap membership at 100; after that it's a waiting list, and being on it isn't just waiting. You can come to our nights out before you're a member, and if we read you against one of our members and see a Perfect Match, we'll open you a place rather than wait for a chair. We never ask for a card until you're approved.

We're currently matching ages 20–45. If you're outside that, apply anyway. We'll hold your application rather than decline it, and we'll tell you we have.

YOKED DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ITS MEMBERS.

We verify every member's government-issued photo ID, and we screen every member against the national and Texas sex offender registries before they are approved. Those checks are real, and everyone goes through them, but they are not criminal background checks, and we will not pretend otherwise. Meeting anyone new carries risk. Meet in public, tell a friend where you're going, and trust your gut.

Why we check this hard: 1 in 7 American adults has lost money to a romance scam (McAfee, 2026). On the apps, you're on your own. Here, every person you meet has handed us their ID first.
