While you are talking to someone, we will not introduce you to anyone else, and we will not introduce them to anyone else either. Nobody is keeping you as an option. Nobody is keeping them as one.

Can I talk to more than one person at a time?
No, and that is the point. While you are talking to someone, we will not introduce you to anyone else, and we will not introduce them to anyone else either. You are never one of five conversations, and neither are they.
How long do I have to talk to someone?
About a week. Long enough to know whether you want to meet, short enough that you actually will. Within that week you plan a real first date together and pick where you're going. If it goes well, you keep talking with no time limit.
